Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a riding arena in response to a planning condition imposed upon it. Despite its proximity to the remains of Chesfield Church and the earthworks associated with the desrted medieval settlement, no features of medieval date were noted. The site proved to have been significantly disturbed in the recent past and may have been under woodland during the medieval period. [Au(adp)] |
