Abstract: |
<summary2>A recorded observation was undertaken on a trench excavated within the area of a Scheduled Ancient Monument - the site of a grange or woolhouse of Rievaulx Abbey. Remains of a medieval building or buildings had been revealed in the past during drainage and construction work. As far as could be judged from the recorded observation, the immediate locale of the footings trench could be interpreted as being open ground until the construction of the modern house and outbuildings. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
