Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was carried out as a condition set on the granting of Scheduled Monument Consent. The application proposed laying 120metres of fibreoptic computer cable through land in an area that formed a part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument No. 361: Corinium Roman Town. No evidence of archaeological activity was found within the excavated cable trench. The trench was very shallow and it was therefore concluded that any archaeological remains were not effected by the cable insertion. [Au(adp)]
