Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to a planning application associated with the redevelopment of the Purimachos factory. The evaluation revealed the in situ remains of the Williams Burial Ground boundary wall, human skeletal material, as well as evidence for the post-medieval occupation of the area in the presence of garden soils and industrial structures and deposits. A full geological sequence was also obtained with medieval artefacts being stratified immediately above the naturally deposited Redcliffe Sandstone. [Au(adp)] |
