Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a new sewerage system to the east of the former hangars at Mount Batten. Throughout the majority of the works, the profiles exposed by pipe trenching consisted entirely of modern made ground. The made ground comprised several phases of seaward reclamation dating from the period of RAF occupation, and terracing associated with the construction of the hangars. [Au(abr)] |
