Overview of new online bibliography.

Report resulting from the November 2002 meeting Party Political Policy on Archaeology and the Historic Environment, held at the Society of Antiquaries of London. Representatives of the main political parties were present to talk and answer question. There is mention also of the Private Members Bill `Dealing in Cultural Objects (Offences) Bill', the offcial launch of Heritage Link, the failure of moves to make records services for Scottish SMRs statutory and the report of the APPAG.

Update on the ongoing study of the richest EBA or Beaker burial yet found in Britain, with almost 100 objects including gold earrings. Recent isotope analysis led to a wave of newspaper reports and an increase in website hits (website at time of writing can be found in the pages of Wessex Archaeology's site: http://www.wessexarch.co.uk).

English Heritage's Centre for Archaeology (Portsmouth) has been carrying out a series of regional environmental reviews and the author here calls for increased sampling to fill in the complex regional picture that is emerging.
