Abstract:
An iron-bound wooden chest buried between AD 122 and 138 contained a variety of tools, weapons, fittings, and parts of at least six lorica segmentata (three different types) wrapped in cloth. There were also gaming counters, beads, whetstones, writing tablets (illegible), a tankard, tope, string, and feathers: all apparently scrap. Reconstructions of the armour are presented.
