Abstract: |
Considers the methodology and presents the results of a desktop study of likely archaeological impact of the route, followed by the first phase of a fieldwalking survey. A wide range of artefacts was recovered by fieldwalking -- these included a Neolithic flint and a sandstone slab (possibly redeposited from an unlocated cist) -- but not in concentrations sufficient to indicate actual sites. The `Artefacts recovered' are quantified in the appendix (5-8). |
