Abstract
Ottonischer Fibelschmuck, neue Funde und Überlegungen Ottonian jewellery: new finds and discussion
Hiltrud Westermann-Angerhausen
21 - 36
Among the German-origin brooches of 10th-11th century discussed, the Dowgate Hill (London) brooch is credited to the Late Saxons themselves; contemporary with it is the unprovenanced Towneley Brooch. This period is otherwise dominated by larger productions like book-covers and crosses. (See also 87/1638.)
A late medieval love-jewel Rocklea Sands (Poole) gold pendant, French origin
