Abstract: |
The analysis of fifty timbers from six sites included in the Oxford Shire Lake Project is described. The timbers best suited to dendrochronology produced felling date ranges in the tenth and eleventh century AD, and a tree-ring chronology covering the period AD 632--1001. The remaining timbers had fewer rings but, despite this, tree-ring dates for three other sites were obtained. The final site master curves span the periods AD 435--577 and AD 632--1089. |
