Abstract
Arguments against the existence of the 'megalithic yard'
Ian O Angell
13 - 19
Argues statistically that the quantum hypothesis is ineffective for the analysis of megalithic stone rings, and moreover that the case for the existence of the megalithic yard at 2.72 + 0.003ft is far from being proved.
A statistical study of Welsh Bronze Age metal artefacts
MN N Leese
45 - 52
In a project to investigate statistical and pattern recognition techniques in the analysis of ancient artefacts, it has emerged that hypothesis testing is sometimes preferable to pattern seeking for these data. There is little chance of ascribing artefacts to ore sources, at least for the Welsh artefacts.
