Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group on the site of Montrose House 186 Petersham Road, Petersham (Planning Ref. 03/1739/LBC) between 23rd September and 2nd November 2004. The development proposals included the demolition of building associated with Montrose House, formation of a new vehicle access, construction of a new conservatory, pool house, covered way, tennis court, external staircase, shed and bin store, along with internal and external alterations. The watching brief exposed the geological sequence of the area. No features or finds of archaeological significance were identified. |
