Abstract: |
An Archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey of 40 acres of land to the south of Bilston and the Black country route, commisioned by Wolverhampton County Council in advance of the ''Bilston Urban Village'' development. Updates a previous report (White BCSMR 10950). Assessment highlighted the importance, both archaeologically and historically, of the area, and suggested that despite substantial modern development and landscaping there is potential for earlier archaeological deposits of possible regional importance to survive in areas of the site. |
