Abstract: |
LKH 309, 19-21 Eriswell Road, Lakenheath (TL 7190 8220): A trial trench evaluation was carried out at the above site in advance of a residential development. Eight trenches (total area 286.4m2) were excavated, representing approximately % of the site. The evaluation revealed a sequence of natural sand, sandy subsoil and modern topsoil. No archaeological features or deposits were observed and the only artefact retained was an unstratified sherd of medieval pottery. |
