Abstract: |
The small evaluation revealed two medieval pits and a boundary ditch which had been cut through a thick layer of silt. All features and layers date to between the 10th and 14th centuries. The site may represent part of a backyard plot for buildings fronting on to Broad Street to the west while the layers indicate episodes of earlier flooding. |
