Abstract:		 Oxford Archaeology carried out a series of watching briefs during the installation of new sewers and cable trenching at Chatterley, Whitfield Colliery. The watching briefs revealed the ground floor and walls of the former lower laboratory building and layers of made ground over the north east corner of the site. An earlier road and yard surface was exposed to the south-west of the main office.
