Abstract: |
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Ecosse Regeneration Limited to undertake a programme of archaeological works within the site of a road improvement scheme at Cowhill, Whitburn, West Lothian. In total 24 trenches, totalling 3,585 m2 were opened, representing an 8% sample of the areas available for archaeological evaluation. Apart from the tentative identification of possible bases of furrows from rig and furrow cultivation, this greenfield site proved to be archaeologically sterile with no significant features or artefactual material uncovered by the evaluation. |
