Abstract: |
Conditional planning consent for the repairs to, and widening of the mooring basin at 48-50 Puddingmoor, Beccles, required archaeological monitoring of the associated groundworks. Despite the potential for the survival of waterlogged archaeological deposits, the alluvial deposits removed appeared to have been subject to modern disturbance, with occasional brick and modern rubbish mixed throughout the exposed matrix. No features or artefacts of archaeological significance were observed. |
