Abstract: |
A trial trenching evaluation in November 2009 revealed three pairs of small post-holes and several isolated negative features. Open area excavation in February 2010 revealed the remains of a post-built roundhouse c.6m in diameter. The roundhouse was double-walled towards the north and west, and open towards the south-east. Further post-holes indicated a possible porch entrance. No interior features or deposits survived. A series of postholes located nearby may have been the remains of a second roundhouse. Further isolated pits were recorded. No finds were discovered in any of the deposits. |
