The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 This DBA includes an examination of the Suffolk Sites and Monuments Record (SMR), a documentary search, the examination of the available site records and an examination of the available historic maps. The proposed development area (PDA) is situated just outside the Anglo Saxon and medieval town defences on an area that is thought to be the site of the town meeting place (Thingsted) pre 1200AD. Previous archaeological interventions close to the PDA have revealed occupation deposits dating from the Anglo-Saxon period through to the medieval period.
