Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group on a proposed residential development at Nunholm Road, just north of Dumfries. The works consisted of an 8% intrusive evaluation on two land parcels with a combined area of 0.42 ha. Archaeological trial trenching amounted to a total of some 336 square metres. The evaluation revealed features of archaeological significance including several linear features, a large enclosure ditch, a cobble spread and several pit and post-hole features of possible prehistoric date. A single sherd of black glazed ceramic was the only artefact recovered.
