Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was conducted on land at Spinney Lane, Aylesham, Canterbury, Kent in advance of the construction of welfare facilities and a car park. Three trial trenches were excavated to a cumulative length of 60m. One linear feature of uncertain date was observed within the north-west corner of the site. This produced several fragments of cattle bone, and a single, highly abraded sherd of probable Late Iron Age/ Early Roman pottery. |
