Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief revealed the presence of part of an enclosure ditch. The feature was associated with Bronze Age pottery and later Neolithic or Bronze Age struck flints, and, as such can be tentatively dated to the Bronze Age period. A small cluster of pits and postholes were located within the vicinity of the enclosure, one of which contained a sherd of Beaker period pottery. It was unclear which, if any, of these features were contemporary with the enclosure, although it was possible to demonstrate that one of the postholes post-dated the basal fills of the enclosure ditch. |
