Abstract: |
This archaeological watching brief took place during groundworks for a new driveway to the Old Rectory, Redmarshall. The site lies adjacent to the Norman Church of St. Cuthbert and within the core of the medieval settlement of Redmarshall. The ground was noted to be made up with 1.5m of imported soil, including 19t/20th century brick and ceramics. The groundworks did not penetrate beneath this overburden and no finds or features of archaeological interest were noted. |
