Abstract: |
A watching Brief held in a field at the back of Tregew farm. Traces of a late medieval, early Post-medieval field boundary were recorded along with an irregular hollow or quarry used for digging shillet for use in field boundaries or as rubble core within buildings. Post dating the field system in that it removed part of the boundary recorded, no dating evidence was obtained.. No other archaeological features were identified, though a couple of unstratified flints hint at prehistoric activity in the area. |
