Abstract: |
An area of 1.4 hectares was evaluated by trial trenching as a condition of planning consent. This proved the site to have been subject to considerable truncation and modern disturbance, except for a few pockets predominantly around the margins of the site. Even where the natural subsoil had not been significantly truncated, no archaeological features were present. One worked flint flake was recovered from the surviving topsoil in the eastern end of Trench 2. |
