Abstract: |
Recording was undertaken at an Iron Age hillfort prior to repairs to the South West Coast path (SWCP) that passes through the monument. A localised earthwork survey identified that the defences on the eastern side of the hillfort do not continue to the south of the SWCP (as depicted on current Ordnance Survey mapping), and that the area has suffered cliff falls in the recent past. Limited areas of the core of both the inner and outer ramparts had been exposed through erosion on the SWCP and were recorded. |
