Abstract:		 Archaeology South-East (ASE), the contracting division of the Centre for Applied Archaeology at University College London, was commissioned by CgMs Consulting Ltd on behalf of their clients Taylor Wimpey to undertake a watching brief on land at Sandrocks, Rocky Lane, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. The work was undertaken between the 18th March and 2nd June 2011. Excavations monitored included the excavation of building foundations as well as three lines of drainage trenches with associated manholes. These excavations revealed a broad cross section of deposits from the north trio the south of the site and revealed that in most areas, massive truncation had occurred. No archaeological deposits, finds or features were uncovered.
