Abstract: |
Fieldwalking recovered struck flint and pottery representing several periods, including the later Neolithic/Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, Medieval and post-medieval. A cluster of later Neolithic/Bronze Age flints suggests an occupation site, but material of the other periods was more randomly spread and may result from manuring. The significance of single sherds of Saxon and Iron Age pottery is more difficult to assess. |
