Abstract:		 An excavation revealed evidence of prehistoric activity in two postholes containing Bronze Age pottery and lithics, though they formed no discerible structure. Three e-w gullies and an e-w ditch containing Roman pottery denoted a Roman field system. A group of pits and postholes were sealed by a layer containing early Saxon pottery AD 575-650.
