Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief of geotechnical trial pits was carried out across the Granary Complex, Wharf road, King's Cross. Natural clay was recorded in few of the trial pits. Extensive evidence was revealed for late 19th and early 20th century redevelopment of the study site. Footings for still extant buildings were observed, in addition to subterranean structures and services of contemporary date. The area was sealed by 20th century levelling and made ground deposits. |
