Abstract: |
The watching brief strongly suggested that Roman deposits pertaining to the fort of Aballava were still extant within the grounds of Paddock Hall. Although form and structure were not clearly defined due to the limitations imposed by the specification of the brief, a strong suggestion of Roman masonry structures with attendant metalled surfaces was evident. |
