Abstract:		 In September 2013, an archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology, on behalf of CgMs Consulting acting for Chelveston Renewable Energy Limited. The works identified a series of ditches and a pit spanning the middle to late Iron Age to early Roman periods as well as traces of medieval ridge and furrow. Evidence for use of the land as an American airbase was also identified.
