Abstract:
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by the RPS Group PLC on behalf of Centrica Renewable Energy Ltd (CREL) to undertake a programme of archaeological works along the proposed onshore cable route of the Lincolnshire Offshore Wind Farm. Works included a geophysics survey, evaluation, watching brief and heritage statement. The Site ran from National Grid Reference (NGR) 550909, 321879 to 551554, 323151. The cable route was wholly situated in an area that has been progressively reclaimed since the Roman period and the probability of archaeological remains was low. No features of archaeological significance were recorded.
