Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group prior to the construction of a single house, garage and driveway on a plot of land at Old Keir, Bridge of Allan, Stirling. The evaluation consisted of three trenches within the building footprint and driveway totalling 61 m2 of trench. The trenches revealed that the site is archaeologically sterile with only 0.3 m of clay loam topsoil overlying a well drained orange clay. No further archaeological works are deemed necessary within the development area. |
