Abstract: |
A 58 trial trench evaluation at specified sections of the network main from Quarry Hill to Stainton and Cockermouth, Cumbria that took place between September and October 2015. Forty-seven trenches were devoid of archaeological features. Eleven trenches across six areas between Papcastle and Bothel contained features that included three pits, two ditches, a posthole, the remains of three walls and a demolition layer. |
