Abstract: |
Three evaluation trenches were excavated, finding a ditch that was probably part of the medieval Barnsbury moated manor. This ditch appears to be the same as the one which featured on the Dent parish map of 1805-6 and was backfilled in the 19th century. A brick drain also found probably relates to later redevelopment of the site in the 18th/19th century. |
