Abstract: |
Stradbroke, land adjacent to The Laurels Bungalow, Church Street (SBK 048, TM 2330 7396) evaluation trenching for a planned small residential development to the south-east of the parish church in the historic core of the village did not reveal any archaeological features or finds. While the south-eastern quarter of the site was in use as garden the remainder had until recently been in use as a vehicle garage/depot which had been demolished and the associated concrete broken up a few years ago leading to some ground truncation. The only features revealed were later Post medieval land drains and pits of 20th century date related to the garage use. |
