Abstract: |
<summary>A desk-top study was undertaken on the line of the proposed A1 motorway corridor. The study indicated that there was little recorded archaeology along the proposed route. Fieldwalking indicated that the archaeology of the route corridor was dominated by evidence of prehistoric activity in the form of flint scatters. There was a notable lack of medieval surface finds and evidence of medieval cultivation. Further investigation was recommended. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
