Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed two storey extension to existing offices. The site lay on the western side of the historic core of Derby and the adjacent Church of Saint Werburgh. To the south of the site lay Derby's Dominican Friary. Two trenches were excavated and failed to uncover any archaeologically significant remains, the area appeared to consist entirely of late 19th and early 20th century demolition material. [Au(adp)]
