Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out at a site where excavations in 1989 had revealed Roman ditches and medieval features. The excavation of foundation trenches was monitored, and a palaeolithic handaxe was found. Further Roman features, including a post hole, ditches, and stake holes were recorded, and pottery was found. Post-medieval remains included domestic pits, soakaways, ditches, drains and a well.
