Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were dug on the site of a proposed extension to the Cadbury House Country Club complex. Other than one undated stake-hole in Trench 1 no archaeological features were recorded. Four of the trenches contained considerable depths of modern levelling deposits (gravel, rubble and hardcore). It thus appears likely that modern landscaping has either destroyed archaeological remains or that none existed before the landscaping was carried out. |
