Abstract:		 In March 2006 [date] Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out an archaeological watching brief at Margate Seafront, Kent (Centred at NGR: TR 354 713).[location and National Grid Reference] The work was commissioned by Campbell Reith Hill LLP [client(s)]in advance of excavation of geotechnical trial pits. [development] The watching brief revealed deep deposits of late 19th and 20th century made ground and demolition debris throughout the seafront area, with only two trial pits exposing natural deposits. No evidence for any earlier archaeological deposits was observed.
