Abstract: |
Detailed Archaeological Assessment for a water mains renewal scheme, from Filton to Chase Reservoir, Bristol. The proposed route comprised two discontinuous sections of pipeline, the longest extending for approximately 2.87km through Downend, Kingswood and Mangotsfield on the NE outskirts of Bristol while the shorter section extends for approximately 350m through the suburban settlement of Filton on the N periphery of Bristol. As the route was almost entirely within the modern road, it was concluded that there would be little archaeological impact resulting from the scheme. |
