Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	In May and September 2013 Archaeological Solutions (AS) carried out an archaeological investigation via 'strip, map and record' on the site of a rear extension at Newman Cottage, 261 Hertingfordbury Road, Hertingfordbury. Newman Cottage is a 16th century house once used as the village infants school. The investigation revealed only modern drainage and sewage features related to the house.
