Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was conducted at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge. This monitored works undertaken within the adjoining basements of the former Master's Lodge (1674-76) and the Ramsden Building (1757). Here, two test pits were excavated. In both instances, a limited number of medieval features were identified below the extant basement floor level. These features represent the last remaining vestiges of an initially 3m deep stratigraphic sequence.
