Abstract:		 In May 2012 two trenches were excavated at The Woodlands, Middleton Road, Oswestry (NGR SJ 2965 2949) to evaluate the archaeological potential of the site prior to a planning application for residential development. The western side of the application area runs adjacent to a scheduled monument which forms part of the 63km long bank and ditch earthwork known as Wat's Dyke. This document contains a report on the results of the archaeological site investigation.
