Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was prepared and historic building recording undertaken in advance of a planning application for redevelopment of the property. Woodwell was a c.1800 lodge or stable/coach house to the adjacent Woodville, and was fully recorded. Other assessed structures include a 1936 boathouse, a 19th-century jetty, and a late 18th-century fortification, later remodelled into a folly/saluting battery. |
