Abstract: |
Hawstead, Brook Farm, Bells Lane: evaluation trenching for a planned World War I replica camp examined the south-eastern part of the site only as the remainder is covered by a substantial depth of re-deposited material. The area examined will be used for part of the replica trench system and is at a low level compared to nearby fields and is adjacent to the upper part of the River Lark with the evaluation trenches revealing a substantial depth of top and subsoil and no archaeological features or finds. |
