Abstract: |
A two trench archaeological evaluation of land at the Mission Hall, Putney, SW15 1PP, was undertaken. This revealed the natural River Terrace Gravels to be almost level in the study area between 7.68m OD and 7.48m OD. A sequence of natural gravels and sands overlain by disturbed agricultural soils was observed in the east of site. A late post medieval posthole was observed in the western trench under the remains of a 19th century property. |
